A Different Post Than Most.

So my favorite little white console (the Wii for the uneducated) has come out with some beta software that allows you to browse the internet. Suffice it to say, but I am definitely sitting on my couch right now typing this post up. Although there is a lot of functionality, it’s not without its drawbacks.

For one thing, there’s no support for USB keyboards (yet). Whether or not they pursue this option, I don’t know, but I’m sure some people will gripe that there is not one. The other thing that kind of stinks is that while the unit will play flash video (and every YouTube video I’ve thrown at it), larger flash videos make it lock up. I tried viewing a Revision3 video to no avail.

Luckily, this software is still in beta, so a lot of these things will most likely be ironed out before the full release in March. Even though there are some hick-ups, the software is eady to use, and it’s fun to play with.
