Unhappy Feet

We can send a man to the moon. We can scour the ocean floor. But making leather shoes that don’t stain my socks is out of the question? For the $70 that these shoes cost, is it unreasonable to assume that one could wear the shoes without the worry that their $3 pair of socks will come out looking half-white, half-brown, like a really unappetizing Jelly Belly? That’s right, I wear white socks with brown leather shoes; get over it. Who am I trying to impress? I guess the makers of these shoes thought that who ever bought them would be wearing them the “right” way, with socks that wouldn’t show visible stains, but I only have white socks at the moment (read: for the past ten years). Screw the shoe company. They shouldn’t stain anything. I live on a limited budget with limited pairs of socks. I can’t just go crazy and buy tons of socks. As much as I want to help the economy with my sock buying power, I just cannot do that everyday. Thanks Dockers, for making a shoe that sucks. Let’s just hope these slacks I just bought from you don’t make brown stains on my undershorts.
