This Salvadorian parade happened

On an attempt to attend the National Book Festival this past Sunday, upon stepping out of the Archives metro stop I was ASSAULTED…by a sweet Salvadorian parade! Here are some terrible shots of the event.

For whatever reason, I decided to shoot everything that day with my 50mm prime lens because I generally don’t give it enough attention. It’s a fun lens to shoot with.

We did end up at the book festival after messing about with this parade, and I did take some photos there, but all you really need to know is that there were several tents, and all of the tents were filled with people discussing their books. It wasn’t as exciting as a random street parade you didn’t know existed. The book festival could have benefitted from more bongos and timbales, is all I am saying.
