Workoutathon 2009: Day 5

posted in Miscellaneous on Jul 17, 2009

It’s been one full week of attempting to work out and be healthy. So how has that worked out?

Well, for starters, I think I’ve given up on running, and here’s why: I had originally scheduled my running for Tuesdays and Thursdays for a out 30 minutes. As you’ve potentially already read, I skipped running in Tuesday due to laziness. I DID, however, substitute that lack if running with taking up the Frisbee Golf. Playing that doesn’t keep up your heartrate necessarily, but you do walk a couple of miles while playing so that’s good, right?

So now that Tuesdays and Thursdays are Frisbee days, that just leaves my normal three day a week workout. Today (Friday), I did 21 pushups and 21 squats, along with some lunges. It’s definitely the easiest of the workouts for the week, consisting of the least amount of activity. Kind of like a warm-down that skill makes you break a sweat.

And that’s a out it. I’m really not doing a whole range of things during these workouts, but they’re easy and they’re something that I will probably stick with. Time will tell for that, though. They say it takes about a month for something like a workout routine to stick, so I will report back then.
